Vizual Personnel Director Technical Specification

Vizual Personnel Director uses a Microsoft SQL Server or InterBase Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) to store the employee data. Personnel Director has been designed to support 5 to 100 concurrent users and has been tested with over 15,000 employee records. Vizual Pedrsonnel Director can be run across a Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Network (WAN) and has been successfully tested across a 64k bits per second link.

Vizual Personnel Director also links dynamically with the following applications:

  • MS-Word 97 and above
  • MS Excel 97 and above
  • MS Outlook 97 and above

Network Protocols

Network protocols should be MS-NET compatible for Multi-user versions. For example: TCP\IP, IPX\SPX.

Hardware Specification

Server

Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

InterBase version of Personnel Director will run on many network operating systems. Please call for details.

The InterBase Server requires a minimum of 10MB for the application. Please refer to Microsoft SQL Server documentation for its requirements.

Client

The Vizual Personnel Director Client runs on an IBM compatible PC running one of the following operating systems:

  • Windows 95/Windows 98/Windows 2000
  • Microsoft Windows NT4 Workstation or above

Minimum Specification: Pentium P133, 32MB RAM
Personnel Director requires 40MB hard drive space for installation on client systems.

Note: While you can run Personnel Director on lower specification systems, there could be a performance loss when using large databases.
